Through its Welfare Committee, SIWA supports many needy charities all over Seoul and South Korea. Welfare committee members visit charities, evaluate their situation, discuss requests during the monthly welfare meetings and recommend donations to the SIWA board, who ratifies the recommendations. Any SIWA member can become a welfare committee member. The welfare meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 10.00 am at the Seoul Club. If you are interested, please contact Welfare@siwapage.com We start our financial year on May 1 of each year. Over the past year we have paid out KRW 247 million to various charities. See below for a detailed breakdown. Hopefully the Bazaar this year will be another successful fundraising event for our Welfare fund, which will enable us to help more needy people in Korea.
